Straw's Shoplifting was truly one of the gems of lates Britpop. While the British sound had more or less turned its back on pop music (with mainstream artists like Blur shunning their pop roots for more experimental territory), it's refreshing to hear a band as unpretentious and shamelessly poppy as Straw. Much like another playful pop group, Ooberman, Straw have the sound to be huge but can't seem to pull it off. There are only a couple of really quality fun pop groups that can be big in one place at any given time. Had this album been released in near Parklife it would have been massive. best debut of 5/5(2).

Sep 14,  · It is important to create policies and procedures for shoplifting in your retail store. While we all hope it will never happen in our stores, the statistics say it probably will. A National Association of Shoplifting Prevention (NASP) study finds that 1 in 11 people in the US is a shoplifter. No solid "profile" exists as men and women, old.
